Bisse de Sion

 

Built at the beginning of the twentieth century to feed the Sionne and, latterly, the Bisse de Lentine and the Mont d’Orge lake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Total length : 14 km.

Altitude : Between 1850 and 1150 metres.

Route time : Between 3 and 4 hours.

Location :  Zeuzier lake and Anzère, to the right of the Rhône.

Difficulty : There are no particular difficulties if you take the dam tunnels, except that you will encounter some vehicles. However, if you follow the itinerary of the bisse without taking the tunnels (about 1 km) the trail becomes very precipitous (though secured) and is not recommended for those suffering from a fear of heights. Neither is is possible with dogs or young children as there are two metal ladders on the path.
