At the beginning of the 18th century, this irrigation channel not only had an agricultural function, but was also used as a source of energy for sawmills and mills.

Departure
From Haute-Nendaz, the bisse trail starts about 30 metres after the «Bifurcation le Déserteur» bus-stop.
Itinerary
Follow the path as far as Planchouet. If you want to make a loop with the Bisse Vieux, from Planchouet make your way to Lavantier. The trail for the Bisse Vieux starts on the Siviez road just above the «Planchouet» bus-stop. Once you have Haute-Nendaz in sight, make your way to the village by whichever way you prefer.
