In the first part after La Boversee until the La Tzoumaz the trail is very wild and receives few visitors. . For this section of the walk, the difficult stretch can be avoided by taking a small detour. In so doing, you reach a magnificent clearing with a picnic place. There remain a few places where you need to be sure footed and have good walking boots.
Outside of the summer season, the route starts at Le Levron village because there is no public transport for the Col des Planches.
The post bus desert SIviez only during the high tourist season.
If you want to go to the Col des Planches during the summer season and during the week, it is better to book the Postbus.

Along the route of this bisse there is a new suspension bridge between La Tzoumaz and Isérables.
To begin the bisse take a bus to the col des Planches. From there, make your way to the Lein Pass and take the non tarmac passable road as far as the first hairpin bend above La Boveresse. From here, the beginning of the Bisse de Saxon is sign-posted. If you plan to walk for two days you can stop overnight at La Tzoumaz or Nendaz Station. This bisse can be walked in the direction of Siviez, Haute Nendaz or Isérables or La Tzoumaz.
It is also possible to begin in Siviez (Nendaz) or at La Boveresse. During the walk you can reach Haute Nendaz, Isérables or La Tzoumaz.
