Bisse de Lentine
Useful information
Thanks to the low altitude of this bisse it is accessible both very early and very late in the season. In the autumn, the colours of the vineyards are splendid and the path overlooks the Rhône valley offering magnificent views. All three bisses are found close to the Mont d’Orge lake, which is well-known and loved by locals.
Itinerary
Departure
From the middle of the village of Drône («Savièse»), descend the Ruelle du Boulanger until you reach the sign-post “Pont de la Sionne, Grimisuat, Bisse de Lentine”. Continue your descent on the tarmac road which crosses the vineyards below the village of Drône. At the first hairpin bend, turn left in the direction of the Sionne river and continue for 100 metres until you reach the sign-post «Sentier Nature» (no. 6 et 9). Follow the path down towards to the Sionne to where the bisse takes water.
Itinerary
Follow the bisse as far as Mont d’Orge. After about 4 km you reach an urban area and the bisse continues entirely underground as far as the Mont d’Orge lake. If you would like to continue on the Bisses de Mont d’Orge and Siphon refer to the relevant pages on this site.
