A very beautiful trail, the stretch from Isérables to Boveresses is quiet. The whole trail is varied and shady with many opportunities to enjoy a picnic.

Itinerary

Day 1

To reach the start of the bisse, take a bus to the Le Levron. From there, make your way to the Lein Pass and and take the a passable but non-tarmac road to the first hairpin bend above Boveresse. From here you can reach the Bisse de Saxon (sign-posted). Follow the bisse to La Tzoumaz

Route time : 4 hours without breaks.

Day 2

Depending on your level of fitness, you can either stop at Nendaz station or continue to Siviez. There is wider range of lodging in Nendaz station than Siviez.

If you spend the night in Nendaz station, the next day you will continue to the Mayens de Sion, either following the Bisse Vieux or the Bisse du Milieu. The Bisse Vieux takes you to Lavantier and from there you should continue to Planchouet to join the Grand Bisse de Vex. The Bisse du Milieu, which is less interesting in terms of landscape, goes directly to Planchouet close to the starting point of the  Grand Bisse de Vex, which will take you to the Mayens de Sion.

If you decide to spend the night in Siviez, you will continue on the Bisse de Saxon. From Siviez, you make your way downhill to Planchouet to join the Grand Bisse de Vex.

Day 3

From Nendaz station, follow either the Bisse Vieux or the Bisse du Milieu. Depending on your choice, you will reach the Grand Bisse de Vex by following the sign-posts.
